Community Outreach
Be Orange is an outreach initiative that has existed at Next Level Church since 2007. We believe it is our responsibility as a Church to reach the hurting, broken, lost and forgotten of our city and to serve them with the love of Jesus!
Our goal as a church is to empower people, not lead them into further dependence. Because of that, our outreach efforts are meant to empower people to become everything that God has called them to be and to empower them with the tools necessary to change their circumstances.
As the Bible says in Isaiah 61:1 we are called to bring good news to the poor, heal the broken hearted and to proclaim liberty for those who are held captive. In order to accomplish this, we are centering around three main areas of focus:
1. The Forsaken
This area of focus is on children and teens who are trapped in a poverty mindset. Our efforts will center around Orange River Elementary.
Opportunities for involvement consist of
-
Mentoring
-
Tutoring
-
Sports outreaches
-
After-school programs
- Food pantry volunteering
- Community co-op gardens & more!
THE GOAL FOR 2013: FEED 1 SCHOOL FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!
